How To Transform To Love
Evolving into a higher or more profound sense of self is accomplished with the simple turn of your head. It is a matter of perspective. What you believe and what you feel are determining factors in how your experience life. Most of us have lived under the burden of fear. Thoughts of worry or concern and feelings of anxiety and panic are elements of fear that are present in our everyday life. Concerns over our children’s safety, over money, over health are with us daily. Anxiety over world affairs, war and strife lay in our subconscious minds waiting for the next bomb to drop somewhere in the world. Fear of death lives with us every moment of our existence.
So many turn their heads towards fear and cannot see its’ opposite.....love.
Dr. Wayne Dyer states in his book, Your Sacred Self : Making the Decision to Be Freed (read excerpt) that love and fear are diametrically opposed to each other. You cannot have the emotion of fear streaming through your body at the same time as the emotion of love. Love and fear have two very different frequencies and they cannot coexist at the same time within your body or your mind.
Imagine ...
...you are sitting in a chair and that there are two video screens in front of you. One screen is to your left and as you turn your head towards it, you find images of violence, hatred, and destruction. This is the screen of fear.
Now, turn your head to the right and on that screen you see people holding each other, hugging, rocking babies, playing with pets or communing with nature. You hear music that is soft and soothing. You see pictures of the wonders of the earth and you even get a sense of the fragrance of a perfectly formed rose as it blooms before your very eyes.
It Is Your Choice!
Which screen would you rather look at over and over again? Which screen would you rather live out of? You know what your sacred self truly seeks, yet you find that the screen of violence and fear has a seductive nature to it. It draws you over and over again with its loud noises and images. Why does it have a hold on you? It is because we have been conditioned to live in fear.
Our collective history for the past three to four thousand years is based in competition, wars and divisions between peoples and countries. Yet, it is the case that this can and is changing. All you have to do is to make the commitment to turn your head towards images of love. Make the commitment to choose love over fear. As you reprogram yourself to the images of love, you will find that fear begins to have less of a hold on your attention.
You may be surprised to find that when fear has less of a hold on you, it will be of less interest to others around you as well. As one person chooses to live with the frequency of love surging through her body, so then do others follow.
Mother Teresa knew this best when she wrote: “For this purpose, we have been created: to love and to be loved.”
